Age related memory loss or diagnosed dementia/Alzheimer’s is a gradual progression of symptoms. It’s advisable for families to create a care plan to lower the risk of a crisis.
We’ll meet with the client and family members to determine the scope of care required. This is at no cost or obligation.
Care can be scheduled as needed to provide respite for family caregivers. Ongoing service can begin with one visit per week. We believe in starting conservatively to allow time for the individual to accept assistance. Senior Assist will help in developing a daily routine which is essential for individuals dealing with cognitive and memory issues.
As symptoms progress, the care plan will be augmented to make sure all needs are being met. Additionally, the client and their family can request more care, either ongoing or respite. Our care team specifically trained in dementia / Alzheimer’s care is available from one 3 hour visit up to 24 hour live-in care.
Some situations dictate the need for an individual to move to a memory care community. We can assist with non fee based referrals.
Serving the needs of those challenged by memory loss and cognitive decline requires specific skills and experience. Senior Assist is committed to continuing education through in-service training. Additionally, care is closely monitored with routine visits by case management.
