Caregiver of the Season

Fall 2014

Priscilla joined our team in October of 2010. As a CNA, she utilizes her knowledge and skills to provide outstanding care. Priscilla has assisted the same client for over three years. Her exemplary management and organizational skills have helped with coordinating efforts between her client’s extensive team of healthcare providers, managing household needs and communication with family living out of state. Priscilla’s reliability factor is “off the charts”.  In four years, she has never been late and called off sick only once!

Priscilla holds degrees in Business Management from Mission College and the National Credit Union Administration. She has held management positions in both the retail and banking industries. As an excellent cook, Priscilla also owned and managed a restaurant on the east coast. Very multi faceted to say the least!

Priscilla is a mother and grandmother.  She is multi lingual speaking Cantonese, Mandarin and English. She loves to knit and enjoys the outdoors taking annual camping trips. Swimming is her favorite sport. All of her wonderful traits, education and management experience make for a great lead caregiver. Please join us in congratulating Priscilla!

Winter/Spring 2014

Soraya 001

Soraya joined our team in August of 2012 and has provided care for many of our clients, some with very challenging situations.  She has demonstrated great skills and patience working with individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s, a husband and wife who individually required complex care and many, many more. But it is one of Soraya’s most recent assignments along with her other outstanding work that makes her so deserving of this season’s award.

One of our very dear clients recently lost her battle with cancer. Soraya was with her at the time. She handled a very difficult situation with the utmost of compassion. Within hours, Soraya had to report to her next assignment. She arrived on time still recovering from what was no doubt a difficult situation. Without skipping a beat, Soraya jumped right into assisting her next client making sure to not show signs of what had just occurred. This is indicative of her professionalism and dedication to each and every one of her clients.

It is with great pleasure, gratitude and respect that we award Soraya, Caregiver of the Season.
